Bio

Marya Summers is a freelance writer and writing instructor living in Long Beach, California. Hailing from South Florida, she has written popular columns for New Times Broward-Palm Beach, Sun-Sentinel’s City Link Magazine, and Palm Beach County’s Free Press magazine and performed her poetry on stages across the country. She has taught creative and academic writing at Florida Atlantic University, Palm Beach State College, Broward College, Northwood University, and as poet-in-residence at Palm Beach Institute of Contemporary Art.
